DTN Crops Editor Matthew Wilde is an award-winning journalist and ag communicator whose career spans more than 35 years. Raised on a crop and livestock farm in north-central Iowa, Wilde developed an early appreciation for agriculture that continues to shape his reporting today. He attended Waldorf University where he earned a bachelor's degree in journalism. Prior to joining DTN, Wilde was the senior content writer at CHS, the nation's largest farmer-owned grain and energy cooperative, where his work was predominantly featured in C magazine and the company's digital platforms. He has also held communications and reporting roles with the Iowa Soybean Association, two daily newspapers and the U.S. Navy. Wilde and his family live in Ankeny, Iowa.
