    A new report shows California's decade-old corn ethanol emission estimates overstate the actual carbon footprint by 300% to 400%, prompting the Renewable Fuels Association to call for revisions.

    October rain in the North China Plain was the heaviest in 60 years. The record rainfall fell on a region in China which accounts for about 60% of the country's wheat production and almost one-third of its corn output.

    In September, USDA estimated a corn crop averaging 186.7 bpa. However, one seed company's harvest data is trending lower than last year when the record average corn yield was set at 179.3 bpa.
