Ag Day Celebrates Our Industry
There's never a bad time to celebrate agriculture. But with all the things going on in the world right now, it's probably a great time to concentrate on an industry and a way of life that is so critical to the United States and the world.
National Ag Day is March 24. There will be celebrations around the country, and a collection of some of us who are most fortunate will gather with ag leaders, ag youth and politicians in Washington, D.C. on that day. To learn more about what is happening, both in the nation's capital and around the country, go here: www.agday.org.
All those efforts fall under the 2026 theme of "Agriculture: Together We Grow."

DTN and Progressive Farmer magazine are long-time supporters of National Ag Day. Each year we're excited to celebrate our farm and ranch families and the agribusiness industry that form a critical cornerstone of local, state and the national economies.
This year as we celebrate internally, we can't help but look to the outside, where a war against Iran has joined the now four-year conflict going on in Ukraine, as well as conflicts around the globe.
In addition to the horrific death, injury and destruction those actions cause, we in agriculture are going to be dealing with increasing costs for fuel, fertilizer and other goods, on top of an already significant inflation level and a questionable national economy as employment and other measurable economic metrics data comes in.
So, to my original point, while we have all these outside events shaping our future, it's a nice respite to spend a couple of days focused on the present, and on the industry we all care about and can be proud of. So take a moment, or several, and participate in the activities in your area. Check in with the celebrations in D.C.
Thank you for all that you do, and will do, to make agriculture great.
Happy Ag Day!
