Spot ethanol prices advanced Monday, tracking rallies for Chicago Board of Trade corn futures and the New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures amid dovish comments from a top Federal Reserve official and reports of a refinery outage in the Midwest.

Prompt delivered physical ethanol at the Argo terminal traded at $1.49 per gallon, up 2.25 cents, an August ethanol barge at the New York Harbor was pegged at $1.56 per gallon, up 3.0 cents, and prompt shipment of ethanol to northern California was talked at $1.68 per gallon for a 1.0-cent gain.
