Spot Ethanol Tracks Corn, RBOB Futures Up, Export Demand

Spot ethanol prices moved higher in lackluster trade Friday as part of a broader rally for commodities, with Chicago Board of Trade corn futures and New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures also gaining.

A trade source added that Friday's higher prices are partly driven by export demand. Prompt delivered Chicago ethanol delivered under Rule 11 terms traded at $1.47 per gallon for a 1.0-cent gain, with in-tank transfer at the Argo terminal valued 1.0 cent higher at $1.46 per gallon. January New York Harbor ethanol barges were pegged at $1.458 per gallon for a 3.0-cent gain.
