Spot ethanol prices were flat to higher in thin Tuesday trade as the market awaits weekly ethanol supply and demand data due out Wednesday from the Energy Information Administration.

Prompt Argo ethanol were talked early at $1.54 per gallon, unchanged on the day. Chicago ethanol trade under Rule 11 for this week shipment was talked at $1.53 per gallon, unchanged on the day, with next week shipment seen at a $1.51 to $1.535 per gallon bid/ask. On the East Coast, ethanol barges for May shipment to New York Harbor were seen at a $1.61 to $1.63 per gallon bid/ask spread. Ethanol for this week delivery in Arizona was talked at a $1.69 to $1.70 per gallon bid/ask spread, up 1.5 cents.
