Chicago, NYH Spot Ethanol Gain

Spot ethanol prices traded higher at Argo near Chicago and in the New York Harbor, boosted by higher Chicago Board of Trade corn futures and New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures. The market was also boosted by the Energy Information Administration's monthly report raising its demand forecast for ethanol this year, though domestic production was also raised. The U.S. Department of Agriculture raised its estimates for domestic corn stocks for 2015/2016 crop year by 25 million bushels. Sources said Argo spot ethanol traded at $1.51 gallon, up 0.75cts. New York Harbor April barges traded at $1.59 gallon, up 1.5cts.
