Spot ethanol prices were discussed mixed early afternoon Tuesday as traders await Wednesday's midmorning release of weekly oil and ethanol supply data after last week's mixed statistics.

Prompt transfer ethanol at Argo hub near Chicago was talked at a $1.36 to $1.39 per gallon bid/ask, down 0.75 cents. Ethanol barges for March delivery to the New York Harbor were talked at a $1.45 to $1.48 per gallon bid/ask, up 0.5 cents. Houston spot prices were flat at $1.46 and Pacific Northwest prices rose 5.0 cents to a $1.53 to $1.56 per gallon bid/ask spread.
