Spot Ethanol Prices Flat to Higher Monday
Spot ethanol prices at U.S. supply hubs were flat to slightly higher in Chicago, New York and other regions in a thinly traded early session Monday. The swaps market was active but the cash market was light ahead of weekly data due on Wednesday.
Prompt Argo ethanol was talked unchanged at $1.375 per gallon with any March Argo deliveries discussed 1.5 cents higher in a $1.38 to $1.41 per gallon bid/ask spread. April Chicago ethanol swaps traded at $1.43 and $1.435 per gallon, up 0.5 cents. May swaps traded at $1.455 per gallon, up 1.5 cents. March New York Harbor barges were valued at $1.455 per gallon, up 0.5 cents. April Harbor barges were talked unchanged at a $1.48 to $1.51 per gallon bid/ask.
