Spot Ethanol Slides as Supply Fears Ease

U.S. spot ethanol prices were talked lower during a thinly traded session Tuesday on easing supply concerns. Some trade sources project weekly inventories to have held steady during the week ended June 28, while others expect supply to have been drawn down modestly. The data is scheduled for release Wednesday morning. Prompt ethanol at Kinder Morgan-operated Argo terminal near Chicago was pegged at $2.40 gallon, down 1.0cts, while prompt New York Harbor ethanol was offered at $2.48 gallon, down 2.0cts.
