Chicago, NYH Spot Ethanol Values Jump on Short-Covering

Spot ethanol prices traded higher in Chicago and New York Harbor Friday afternoon, boosted mostly by pre-weekend short-covering and higher corn futures on the Chicago Board of Trade, said a source.
Prompt ethanol supply at the Argo terminal in Chicago traded six times at $1.5675 and $1.57 per gallon, up 2.25 cents on the session. August ethanol barges at the New York Harbor traded at $1.645 per gallon, up 2.5 cents on the session.
