Physical ethanol prices eased in Chicago and other hubs on Tuesday as traders await Wednesday's Energy Information Administration supply report for the week-ended March 4.

It comes as New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures eased while Chicago Board of Trade corn futures posted modest gains. Prompt transfer ethanol at the Argo terminal near Chicago traded at $1.335 and $1.34 per gallon, down more than a penny.

Chicago ethanol traded on the basis of Rule 11 for this week shipment traded at $1.335 per gallon, down 1.5 cents. April ethanol swaps traded at $1.3925, $1.39 and $1.385 per gallon, down 1.5 cents.
