The last sale report was over a month ago, so no price comparisons will be 
made.  Very good demand for todays offering of yearlings and fall calves.  
Flesh condition ranged from light fleshed cattle off grass to moderate flesh 
cattle coming out of a grow yard.  Lots of buyer interest in procuring cattle 
at todays auction competing with the internet buyers.  Several strings of 
reputation yearlings were offered in multiple loads, up to 15 loads, per sort.  
Overall a very active market with the market trend continuing upward.  Todays 
on feed report would be considered bullish with smaller placement than 
projected.  Next feeder sale is scheduled for Friday, August 15, 2025.

TREND: The trend for September corn is down.

NONCOMMERCIAL OUTLOOK: Noncommercial corn traders held a net-short futures position of 107,968 contracts as of Aug. 5, a decrease of 25,499 contracts as speculators took profits on short positions built up through the summer thus far.

COMMERCIAL OUTLOOK: Commercial corn traders held a net-long position of 147,872 contracts as of Aug. 5, a decrease of 16,025 contracts, week-over-week. The September 2025 contract is priced 22 3/4 cents lower than the December 2025 contract, a spread that widened again through the most recent week, indicating a comfortable level of old-crop supplies. DTN's National Cash Index indicated that corn basis faded 2 cents over the most recent week to 17...

Cattle futures spent about as much time in the negative as they did in the positive Wednesday, closing mixed. That hesitancy may continue Thursday until cash is confirmed. Hogs were under pressure from the sharp losses in cutouts on Tuesday and packers showed less interest Wednesday.
