USDA Mobridge, SD Fdr Cattle Wtd Avg Report

USDA Mobridge, SD Fdr Cattle Wtd Avg Report 10/02 14:55 AMS_2025 MARS Mobridge Livestock Exchange (Thursday) - Mobridge, SD Mobridge Livestock Exchange-Mobridge,SD Livestock Weighted Average Report for 10/02/2025 - Final Auction This Week Last Reported Last Year ------------------------------------------------------------ Total Receipts: ------------------------------------------------------------ FEEDER CATTLE 1470 931 1006 Compared to last week: mostly yearling steers this week and heifers last week so no trend can be established. Very good demand for yearlings, several attractive strings selling in multiple load lots made up the offering. All came off grass in light to moderate flesh with some fill seen at times. This was the first test of spring calves, a light offering with loads lots seeing good demand and packages moderate demand. All calves came off the cow and most had two rounds of shots. A wide range of quality, especially on packages. Most yards are not yet ready for calves and farmer feeders who would buy packages are busy with harvest. An active market on yearlings, moderate on calves. Next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, October 9, with a larger offering of calves. --------------------------------------------------------------- FEEDER CATTLE --------------------------------------------------------------- HEIFERS - Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 7 1003-1003 1003 301-301 301 5 1083-1083 1083 299-299 299 HEIFERS - Medium and Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 9 292-292 292 560-560 560 58 377-377 377 530-530 530 5 432-432 432 445-445 445 131 450-467 464 442.5-465 461.5 21 533-533 533 430-430 430 HEIFERS - Medium and Large 1-2 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 7 393-393 393 470-470 470 10 543-543 543 395-395 395 STEERS - Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 60 1024-1024 1024 334.75-334.75 334.75 19 473-473 473 492.5-492.5 492.5 13 532-532 532 473-473 473 STEERS - Medium and Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 23 329-329 329 647.5-647.5 647.5 56 424-424 424 542-542 542 30 451-451 451 535-535 535 238 506-528 517 500-517 508.39 207 856-868 862 359-373.75 370.82 264 930-948 936 345-359 352.26 121 952-958 955 345-350.5 347.6 STEERS - Medium and Large 1-2 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 6 449-449 449 480-480 480 14 540-540 540 475-475 475 STEERS - Medium and Large 2 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 6 345-345 345 480-480 480 27 502-502 502 412-412 412
