USDA Nebraska Fdr Cattle Wkly Wtd Avg 04/27 09:00 AMS_1860 MARS Nebraska Weekly Livestock Auction Summary -, Livestock Weighted Average Report for 04/20/2026 - Final Summary This Week Last Reported Last Year ------------------------------------------------------------ Total Receipts: ------------------------------------------------------------ FEEDER CATTLE 14830 9510 19077 REPLACEMENT CATTLE 757 732 110 For the week, steers less than 700 lbs sold 1.00 to 2.00 lower, 7 weights sold 5.00 lower, 8 weight sold steady and 9 weight sold 3.00 higher. Heifers less than 700 lbs sold 10.00 to 15.00 higher, over 700 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher. Pretty large supply for this time of year on bred cows an pairs. Most of these bred females and pairs are selling due to drought conditions as ranchers are starting to down size there herds. Some of the cows might also be sold due to the recent fires in some areas of the state. Very limited rainfall across some areas of the state over the weekend. But at least some did get some rain. Hopefully this rain will help curtail the fires across the state. More fires broke out last week burning near 15,000 acres along with some structures and hay. Much more rain is needed! Slaughter steers and heifers sold 2.00 lower on live and dressed sales at 246.00 and 386.00 respectively. --------------------------------------------------------------- FEEDER CATTLE --------------------------------------------------------------- BULLS -
