The bulk of these heifers came off one ranch company and were sold due to the lost of pasture and feed resources from the "Morrill" fire this month. Other range fires broke out this week from "dry lighting strikes" burning another 50 thousand plus acres of native Sandhill grassland. Ranchers are faced with some hard decision on what they will do with their livestock if Mother Nature doesn't shower the state with much need moisture. Feedlots traded show list at steady money before the CME live cattle futures took an upward trend on Friday. Live sales sold at 235.00 and dressed sales at 372.00. --------------------------------------------------------------- FEEDER CATTLE --------------------------------------------------------------- HEIFERS - Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 89 1120-1120 1120 274-274 274 HEIFERS - Medium and Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 9 328-328 328 595-595 595 Unweaned 48 374-398 380 495-565 547.19 131 402-426 423 500-522 519.77 54 412-444 440 495-506 496.34 Unweaned 578 452-493 480 472.5-511 498.03 29 482-482 482 447.5-447.5 447.5 Unweaned 59 502-502 502 508-508 508 Fancy 39 505-531 524 437-453 441.35 Unweaned 1078 504-545 531 425-490.5 477.97 164 559-578 573 465.5-467.5 465.99 Fancy 645 550-590 574 422.5-457 444.88 783 600-645 621 402.5-431 418.63 10 654-654 654 372.5-372.5 372.5 Unweaned 283 650-693 674 369-405 381.6 60 703-703 703 3050-3050 3050 Replacement 83 700-743 715 338-350 343.16 Fleshy 458 703-745 729 352-381 366.91 73 718-746 735 369-385 374.4 Replacement 62 749-749 749 364.5-364.5 364.5 NHTC 132 753-798 760 358-405 363.96 Replacement 68 764-764 764 3175-3175 3175 Replacement 159 750-796 771 338.5-357 346.24 32 801-801 801 380-380 380 Replacement 179 803-835 811 325-347 341.73 108 815-836 825 320-328 322.9 Fleshy 67 852-852 852 313-313 313 Fleshy 209 851-870 865 315-339 328.44 38 903-903 903 312.5-312.5 312.5 Replacement 103 902-930 920 310-313 311.03 110 956-976 958 298-300 299.02 126 959-959 959 290-290 290 Fleshy HEIFERS - Medium and Large 1-2 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 14 355-388 367 1925-1975 1943.89 30 405-445 430 480-505 496.48 38 466-494 488 452.5-490 480.63 8 489-489 489 441-441 441 Fleshy 106 500-521 507 432.5-451 444.24 9 526-526 526 388-388 388 Fleshy 5 550-550 550 401-401 401 Fleshy 28 552-582 572 422-434 430.28 17 605-605 605 366-366 366 Fleshy 38 610-642 631 386-405 394.3 76 667-697 688 350-377.5 366.91 24 724-745 738 345-350 348.76 7 764-764 764 328-328 328 Fleshy 15 794-796 795 331-335 332.34 94 821-827 826 323-324.5 324.18 STEERS - Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 77 1105-1139 1129 296-297 296.29 5 594-594 594 442.5-442.5 442.5 6 810-810 810 340-340 340 STEERS - Medium and Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 7 327-327 327 2100-2100 2100 10 332-332 332 655-655 655 11 371-371 371 645-645 645 Thin Fleshed 6 395-395 395 550-550 550 27 403-443 430 560-562 560.63 Unweaned 86 422-447 431 555-580 563.94 120 452-464 454 546-563 561.04 24 476-476 476 575-575 575 Thin Fleshed 29 483-483 483 532.5-532.5 532.5 Unweaned 194 500-541 514 508-565 529.6 52 536-536 536 528-528 528 Unweaned 373 555-595 579 453-517.5 481.69 28 612-612 612 469-469 469 NHTC 267 600-640 618 437.5-486 456.63 9 621-621 621 417.5-417.5 417.5 Unweaned 7 672-672 672 417-417 417 Fleshy 581 652-696 675 409-448 430.85 13 708-708 708 399-399 399 Unweaned 435 702-744 723 390-414.5 405.53 51 756-756 756 394.5-394.5 394.5 NHTC 388 750-798 773 372-390 381.57 472 807-849 822 355.5-378 369.58 435 851-884 872 336-358 354.54 46 878-878 878 351-351 351 NHTC 124 908-920 914 348.5-350 349.25 NHTC 157 901-949 926 329.5-351 336.41 73 945-945 945 325-325 325 Fleshy 137 950-987 964 327.75-339 332.12 13 965-965 965 317-317 317 Fleshy 222 980-980 980 337-337 337 NHTC STEERS - Medium and Large 1-2 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 26 492-492 492 530-530 530 71 526-545 538 456-516 477.57 13 568-588 576 410-420 416.07 Fleshy 41 571-595 585 410-445 434.02 17 617-621 619 400-427 415.92 74 653-696 684 386-422 414.56 5 735-735 735 380-380 380 16 849-849 849 331-331 331 5 896-896 896 318-318 318
