Spot Ethanol Prices Lower in Chicago Despite Higher Futures
Spot ethanol prices reversed a tad lower in the Chicago cash market Friday afternoon despite higher Chicago Board of Trade corn futures and New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures. Trade volume was limited. Prompt supply fuel ethanol at the Argo terminal in the Chicago market traded twice at $1.435 gallon for a loss of 0.25cts. In the rail market, ethanol under Rule 11 terms for this week shipment traded at $1.40 and $1.41 gallon, 0.5cts lower. October barged ethanol at the New York Harbor was pegged $1.48 gallon, unchanged on the session.
