Spot ethanol prices were mixed in Friday trade, with cash product values at the Argo terminal in the Chicago market and in New York Harbor rising by a penny each on the back of higher Chicago Board of Trade corn futures, while Houston and southern California cash prices eased. Prompt Argo ethanol traded four times this afternoon at $1.56 and $1.5625 gallon, with October New York Harbor barged ethanol pegged at $1.61 gallon. Houston barged and rail ethanol was $1.60 gallon, down a penny.
