Spot ethanol prices moved lower in Chicago and the New York Harbor during a thin trade session early Wednesday under pressure from a decline in Chicago Board of Trade corn futures. Prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo terminal in the Chicago market was talked at a $1.615 to $1.625 per gallon bid/ask range for a loss of 2.0 cents on the day. In the rail market, this week delivered ethanol traded under Rule 11 was talked unchanged at a $1.60 to $1.62 per gallon bid/ask range. January ethanol barges in the New York Harbor were discussed 13.0 cents over January swaps at $1.68 per gallon for a loss of 1.0 cents.
