Cash Ethanol Prices Down Again Despite Stock Draw

Physical ethanol prices fell in Chicago and elsewhere despite data by the Energy Information Administration showing U.S. ethanol inventories and production fell last week while blender inputs remained unchanged.
Today transfer ethanol at the Argo terminal traded at $1.335 and $1.3575 per gallon, down 1.25 cents, with sources saying tanks at the terminal were nearly full. New York Harbor March barges were talked at $1.415 to $1.44 per gallon bid/ask for a 0.75-cents loss, while Arizona spot ethanol traded at $1.45 and $1.44 per gallon for a 4.25-cents loss.
