USDA Data Push Spot Ethanol Prices Up in New York, Argo Flat

Spot ethanol prices were flat in Chicago and up in New York alongside corn futures gains after the U.S. Department of Agriculture lowered its estimates for domestic corn production and yield for the 2015/2016 crop year, although corn for making ethanol was left unchanged.

Today transfer ethanol at Argo was pegged at $1.27 per gallon while Chicago ethanol traded under Rule 11 for this week shipment changed hands at $1.255 per gallon. New York Harbor January ethanol barges were talked at $1.3825 per gallon, up 2.25 cents. February barges in the Harbor were pegged at $1.4025 per gallon, up 2.25 cents.
