Spot Ethanol Prices Pressured Lower by Profit-taking
Spot ethanol prices posted moderate losses in early trade Tuesday prompted by profit-taking after recent gains and with falling corn futures and RBOB futures, said sources.
Prompt transfer ethanol at the Argo hub near Chicago was pegged at $1.66 per gallon, down 3.0 cents. Chicago ethanol traded under Rule 11 was talked at $1.64 to $1.66 per gallon, down 3.0 cents. On the West Coast, ethanol for this week transfer in California was talked at a $1.82 to $1.85 per gallon bid/ask, down 1.5 cents, while Arizona spot price traded at $1.81 per gallon, down 2.0 cents.
