Spot Ethanol Gains on Renewed Supply Worries, Corn Report
Spot ethanol prices rallied at the start of the new trade week, advancing Nov. 10 after USDA reported a lower corn production forecast for this year to 14.4 billion bushels.
Meantime, a cold front in the Midwest is expected to make logistical problems worse, further delaying shipment. Prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo hub was talked 4.0 cents higher at $2.12 to $2.18 per gallon bid/ask. Prompt California ethanol was offered 4.0 cents higher at $2.30 per gallon.
