Spot ethanol prices were mixed in lackluster early trade Tuesday as traders await data expected to show ethanol inventories were likely drawn down last week to a new record low.

"It's a hodgepodge market (today)," said a trader. "I am leaning towards unchanged to slight draw for ethanol stocks."

Any June-delivered Argo ethanol traded at a $2.54 to $2.57 per gallon bid/ask spread while July New York Harbor ethanol changed hands at $2.605 gallon and June N.Y.H. spot prices pegged at a $2.60 to $2.63 gallon bid/ask spread.
