Chicago Spot Ethanol Up Sharply on Tight Supply at Argo

Chicago spot ethanol prices moved up a sharp 6.0 cents to $2.72 per gallon midday Wednesday in light trade, supported by tight ethanol supply at the Kinder Morgan Argo hub east of the city.
"It's all about tightness in Argo," one broker explained this morning. Another trade source agreed, while also linking the advance to traders caught short needing to cover position by end of month.
