Editors' Notebook

OMAHA (DTN) -- The sun is shining. The snow is melting. The weatherman says the temp will top out in the low 50s today. Who can blame this old editor if she's thinking, "Ahhhhh. Spring!"

Of course, there is still plenty of time for snow and ice and cold before spring officially rolls around. But time flies and before we know it planters will be rolling.

Which means DTN's annual View From the Cab series will be starting soon, too. Each year we find two producers to feature in weekly updates about what is happening on their farms and in their communities. These updates are written by Richard Oswald, of Langdon, Mo. Richard himself was one of the first farmers featured in View From the Cab. He still farms, so he knows of what he writes.
