WASDE, Other USDA Reports Set for Release Despite Shutdown
Despite the funding lapse and continuing government shutdown, USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) on Friday posted that some key reports will be released in November.
NASS stated the World Agricultural Outlook Board will release the World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) on Nov. 14, along with the Crop Production report. Both reports were initially scheduled for release on Nov. 10.
Other reports that will be released include:
Milk Production – Nov.10, (previously scheduled for Oct. 22)
Cattle on Feed – Nov. 21, as previously scheduled
Milk Production – Nov. 21, as previously scheduled
On social media, NASS employees stated workers were brought back to work on reports without pay. At least some of the data for these reports was already collected before the government shutdown.
