Spot Ethanol Slips in Chicago, NYH with Lower Corn Futures
Chicago and New York Harbor cash ethanol prices slipped again under pressure from a retreat by Chicago Board of Trade corn futures and New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures.
This week delivered product at the Argo terminal in the Chicago market traded at $1.50 gallon, down a penny on the session. Fuel ethanol traded under Rule 11 terms for this week. Shipment changed hands at $1.485 gallon for a loss of 1.5cts on the session. July barges at the New York Harbor were talked at $1.58 gallon for a 2.0cts loss. 2017 D6 RINs, which are primarily generated by production of corn-based ethanol, traded at 81.0cts, down 1.0cts.
