Chicago Spot Ethanol Higher with Rallying Corn Futures
Spot ethanol prices climbed in Chicago and the New York Harbor on Monday, supported by a rally to a better than one-year high for Chicago Board of Trade corn futures and a modest gain by New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures.
Prompt supplied ethanol at the Kinder Morgan-operated Argo terminal in the Chicago market traded at $1.553 per gallon, up 2.0 cents. Cash ethanol trading under Rule 11 terms for this week shipment traded 2.5 cents higher at $1.52 per gallon. On the East Coast, a July fuel ethanol barge at the New York Harbor was bid at $1.60 per gallon and offered at $1.64 per gallon, up 2.5 cents on the session.
