Spot ethanol prices were flat to lower during a lackluster session Tuesday, with traders awaiting ethanol supply data for the week-ended Sept. 2 that's expected to show easing demand and rising supply.

Prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo supply hub in the Chicago market traded at $1.48 and $1.4825 per gallon, unchanged. New York Harbor September barge was valued at $1.545 per gallon, down 1.0 cent, and northern California spot prices were pegged at $1.625 per gallon for a 0.5-cent loss.
