Spot Ethanol Prices Flat to Higher in Thin Early Trade

Spot ethanol prices were discussed mostly unchanged except for Pacific Northwest where prices edged higher in early Thursday afternoon cash trade.

In Portland, Oregon, prompt delivered ethanol was talked at a $1.54 to $1.585 per gallon bid/ask, up 1.25 cents. Prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo supply hub in the Chicago market was talked flat at a $1.405 to $1.41 per gallon bid/ask. New York Harbor August and September delivered ethanol barges were flat at $1.48 per gallon.

September Chicago ethanol swaps traded 0.25 cents higher at $1.4175 per gallon.

The compliance market consolidated within Wednesday's wide trade range, with 2016 D6 RINs that satisfy Renewable Fuel Standard's non-advanced nested category trading from 79.0 cents and 80.0 cents, up a penny.
