Chicago Ethanol on Upswing After Late Friday Decline

Ethanol prices in the Chicago market are back on the upswing early Monday afternoon after late-day weakness on Friday erased an early advance, with the ethanol market again finding support from rallying corn futures.

In Chicago swaps trade, June traded at $1.68 gallon, with a July swap trading early at $1.685 gallon, up 3.0cts from Friday afternoon. Prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo supply hub in the Chicago market traded at $1.69 gallon, up 2.25cts from end day Friday, with June holding a 0.75cts by 1.5cts premium to July delivery. July Argo anys were talked in a $1.67 by $1.685 bid-ask trade spread.
