Spot ethanol prices in New York and Chicago took a leg down in choppy trade early Thursday, weighed down by a retreat for Chicago Board of Trade corn futures and New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures.

Prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo supply hub in the Chicago market was talked at $1.53 to $1.54 per gallon bid/ask, down 1.5 cents. Ethanol barges for April and May shipment to New York Harbor were talked at $1.60 to $1.62 per gallon bid/ask, down 1.0 cent on the session.
