Spot ethanol prices moved mixed early afternoon Tuesday, easing along the West Coast and in New York, while values in the Chicago market edged higher following a thinly traded early session.
The market awaits Thursday's weekly data on inventories, domestic production, demand and imports for the week-ended Oct. 9, after data for the prior week were viewed as bearish.
Today in-tank transfer ethanol at the Argo supply hub near Chicago traded at $1.54 per gallon, up 1.5 cents. New York Harbor October ethanol barges were valued down a penny at $1.61 per gallon while a November barge traded at $1.59 per gallon, down 1.0 cent. Arizona prompt delivered ethanol traded at $1.67 per gallon, down 3.0 cents.
