Spot Ethanol Prices Lower With Corn, RBOB Futures Losses

Spot ethanol prices retreated again Monday as part of a selloff for commodities and equities amid concern China's economic slowdown would dampen demand.

Prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo terminal was talked at a $1.50 to $1.505 gallon bid/ask, down 1.0 cent, with any August ethanol talked at a $1.4925 to $1.505 per gallon bid/ask. August swaps traded at $1.495 per gallon.

August ethanol barge at the New York Harbor traded early at $1.59 per gallon and was then talked in a $1.54 to $1.58 per gallon bid/ask range, down 3.0 cents. In Phoenix, Arizona, prompt shipment was talked at a $1.61 to $1.65 per gallon bid/ask for a 2.0-cents loss.
