Argo, NYH Spot Ethanol Trade Higher on Corn Futures Rally

Spot ethanol prices traded higher again across the board Friday, extending gains for the fifth straight day on the back of another rally for Chicago Board of Trade corn futures and an upward reversal by New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures.

Data issued midweek showing a draw for domestic weekly ethanol stocks added to the advance for ethanol values. Prompt ethanol at the Argo terminal near Chicago traded at $1.57 per gallon, up 2.0 cents, while any-June Argo ethanol traded 3.0 cents higher at $1.58 per gallon. A New York Harbor July ethanol barge traded at $1.65 per gallon, up 1.0 cent on the day.
