Spot ethanol prices were flat in New York while reversing higher in Chicago, Texas, and California markets on data showing domestic output fell last week and on gains for corn futures.

Weekly data from Energy Information Administration showed an 18,000 bpd decline to 947,000 bpd in output by production plants in the United States.

Prompt Argo ethanol traded at $1.34 and $1.35 per gallon, up 1.5 cents. Chicago Rule 11 ethanol traded at $1.38 per gallon, up 6.0 cents, while northern California traded at $1.515 per gallon, up 1.5 cents.
