Spot ethanol for today transfer at the Argo terminal near Chicago advanced Friday afternoon with trades reported at $2.95, $3.00, $3.05, and last at $3.10 per gallon, a two-year high and up 12 cents on the day, with next week transfer ethanol trading at $2.70 per gallon, up 13 cents on the session.

Any-September transport Argo ethanol was talked at a $2.19 to $2.24 per gallon bid/ask, slightly up. The gains continued ahead of the weekend break, with trade sources lamenting a lingering short squeeze in the Chicago area.
