Argo Spot Ethanol Prices Trade Higher as Supply Tightens
Spot ethanol prices at the Kinder Morgan-operated Argo terminal near Chicago traded sharply higher early Tuesday amid fresh worries about tightening supply.
Ethanol for transfer today and tomorrow at Argo traded at $2.25, $2.30 and $2.35 per gallon, up 13.5 cents on the day.
"We are in the middle of (plant) shutdown season and tomorrow's production numbers should send the market screaming," said a broker, who added that Argo tanks are "empty again."
