Key Spot Ethanol Prices Pressured by Easing Supply Woes

Spot ethanol prices at key regional hubs were flat to lower in lackluster, early Monday trade, with the downside underpinned by easing concern about supply and lower corn futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Domestic ethanol supplies and production rose in the week-ended Sept. 6 and the market expects weekly production rates to continue higher.

Meantime, supplies at the Kinder Morgan-run Argo terminal rose last week after higher prices there attracted supplies originally intended for the New York Harbor, trade sources said.
