Tracking 2023 crops is a big part of the DTN staff's chore list this time of year. We're adding to our traditional spring and summer coverage with the latest DTN Ag Summit Series live online workshop, which will take place May 23. The "Crop Updates from the Field" sessions will be hosted by DTN Farm Business Editor Katie Dehlinger, and feature conversations with farmers and experts from around the country. Sessions start at 8:30 a.m. CDT, and as with previous Ag Summit Series events will wrap up before noon.

We've designed these live, online events to be straight-to-the-point, informational, and interactive with plenty of time for questions. Our Whova online platform also allows chats to go on during and after the sessions, so you can connect with peers.

A special note, since this is busy planting season: An advantage of this format is once you are registered you can access and re-access the sessions for up to 90 days. So, if you get sidetracked, or have to leave the live event to tend to on-farm chores, you can come back later and get the full story. You can also share the registration with others in your operation if there are discussions that would benefit them.

But ... you must register ahead of the event to get that longer-term rebroadcast access. So, even if you know Tuesday morning will be a crazy one on the farm, get signed up so you can check things out when the dust settles. It's easy, and free, to register here: www.dtn.com/agsummit. Click on register to see our full slate of speakers.

A pro tip: If your area's mobile phone or wireless service has the bandwidth, you can listen to the sessions from your mobile device live while you tackle those physical chores. Just listen only, please! We don't want you taking your eyes off the road or the rows to catch the video. That's what the post-event access is for.

Sessions will include visits with farmers from around the country, crop updates from DTN staff members Pamela Smith and Russ Quinn, plus a late-spring and summer weather forecast from DTN Ag Meteorologist John Baranick and the latest commodity market outlook from Lead Analyst Todd Hultman.

We hope you find the sessions timely and helpful. This is the second of three Ag Summit Series events we have planned for 2023. Planning for the full, two-day DTN Ag Summit event, set for Dec. 5-6, is going on now. Stay tuned for updates on that.

Enjoy the online sessions, share the link with others who might also benefit, and let us know what you think.
