USA Today included an insert in Friday's edition, focused on a variety of agriculture issues.

The insert includes a variety of pieces about ag technology, women in farming and the challenges agriculture faces in feeding a growing world population.

At the front of the insert is a letter from American Farm Bureau Federation president Bob Stallman, who also is the chairman of the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance.

His letter talks about a movement to tell agriculture's story and to provide information and to show what happens on the farm.

"As leaders in the industry, we need to recognize that change is inevitable. We can't expect people who have valid concerns about their food to just 'trust us.' We need to understand their concerns and find ways to make our industry better, stronger and more open," Stallman said.

Interesting! Article classifies a 10 acre parcel in the country with horses and dogs as a hobby farm. What food for human consumption is produced on this, so-called hobby farm? If all activity is referenced on this 10 acres, this is not hobby farming at all.
