TREND: The trend for September corn is down.
NONCOMMERCIAL OUTLOOK: Noncommercial corn traders held a net-short futures position of 155,526 contracts as of July 1, an increase of 24,956 contracts as sellers remained active in the corn market amid large acreage and good growing weather for the U.S. crop.
COMMERCIAL OUTLOOK: Commercial corn traders held a net-long position of 174,260 contracts as of July 1, an increase of 30,732 contracts week over week. The September 2025 contract is priced 17 1/4 cents lower than the December 2025 contract, a spread that widened slightly over the past week.
