USDA Hub City Livestock Wtd Averages 04/29 16:05 AMS_2020 MARS Hub City Livestock Auction - Aberdeen, SD Hub City Livestock Auction-Aberdeen,SD Livestock Weighted Average Report for 04/29/2026 - Final Auction This Week Last Reported Last Year ------------------------------------------------------------ Total Receipts: ------------------------------------------------------------ FEEDER CATTLE 3590 3834 3950 Compared to last week: steers 750 to 1049 lbs 5.00 to 10.00 higher except 800 to 849 lbs not well compared, instances up to 15.00 higher on 750 to 799 lbs. Best test on heifers 750 to 799 lbs 10.00 to 13.00 higher on a narrow comparison. Very good demand for all classes of cattle today. Many finishing type cattle on offer again this week, most selling in loads and strings, in moderate to heavy flesh. Quality on loads mostly average to attractive, more plain to average cattle featured in packages. An active market with buyers eager to own cattle as cash fat cattle saw sales of 257.00 earlier in the week and the futures complex has shown strong momentum this week as well. There is much enthusiasm for the fall marketing season again and buyers are determined to have cattle on hand. Cooler weather this week with some much needed rainfall in some areas. CORN Strategies Snapshot

TREND: The trend for July corn is higher for now.

NONCOMMERCIAL OUTLOOK: Noncommercial corn traders held a net-long futures position of 383,537 contracts as of May 12 and were net-sellers of 49,847 contracts during the CFTC reporting period as traders booked profits on length amid renewed peace efforts in the Middle East and few issues for U.S. planting thus far.

COMMERCIAL OUTLOOK: Commercial corn traders held a net-short position of 259,956 contracts as of May 12 and were net-buyers of 108,892 contracts through the CFTC reporting period. The July 2026 contract is priced 7 1/2 cents lower than the September 2026 contract, widening (more carry) through the week and to the highest degree of carry between the two contracts...

The livestock complex ended the day mixed, with the cattle contracts able to rally mildly through the day's end, while the lean hog contracts continue to struggle. Still no cash cattle trade has developed.
