Compared to last week:  Slaughter steers and heifers steady to 2.00 lower.  
Good demand for this light run of fat cattle.  Heat advisories across the 
region as warm temps and dew points in the 70s, causing lighter receipts at the 
auction.  The market was active in spite of not all regular packer buyers in 
attendance.  Boxed beef values continue to slide but demand for high quality 
grading fat cattle has not faltered.  1 full load of steers, 1 full load of 
heifers, balance part loads and stock trailer loads.  

Slaughter lambs steady to 5.00 lower.  Slaughter ewes mixed, Good ewes steady, 
Utility ewes 5.00 to 10.00 higher.  Feeder lambs not well compared.  Good 
demand for this large offering of slaughter lambs, fewer of the right kind of 
feeding lambs as most of the light lambs were carrying a good amount of flesh 
and went to slaughter accounts.  Good demand for slaughter ewes.
