USDA Worthing, SD Fdr Cattle Wtd Avg 09/29 13:50 AMS_2026 MARS Sioux Falls Regional Cattle Auction - Worthing, SD Sioux Falls Regional Livestock-Worthing,SD Livestock Weighted Average Report for 09/29/2025 - Final Auction This Week Last Reported Last Year ------------------------------------------------------------ Total Receipts: ------------------------------------------------------------ FEEDER CATTLE 3056 1319 2052 Compared to last week: Much larger offering of feeder steers and heifers, steers not well compared to last week's limited offerings, heifers unevenly steady. Light to moderate demand for spring born calves as farmer feeders are busy with fall harvest, overall quality was uneven but a good quality, green calf with two rounds of shots still was pretty easy to sell. Good demand for this large offering of yearlings, many offered in full loads and multiple load lots with one consignment of 700 steers with 7 loads in the main cut. Flesh condition of yearlings was uneven as there were some light fleshed cattle right off grass, but there were many more carrying a moderate to even a heavy amount. With the down pressure in the Live Cattle contracts recently and the fat market lower, cattle feeders aren't as gung ho on chasing the feeder cattle market as they have been. --------------------------------------------------------------- FEEDER CATTLE --------------------------------------------------------------- HEIFERS - Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 25 1022-1022 1022 301-301 301 HEIFERS - Large 1-2 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 13 1032-1032 1032 263-263 263 Fleshy HEIFERS - Medium 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 5 440-440 440 390-390 390 9 523-523 523 385-385 385 HEIFERS - Medium and Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 24 1034-1049 1045 255-274 260.49 Fleshy 9 280-280 280 600-600 600 32 354-398 382 480-530 514.68 14 411-433 421 470-475 473.9 4 464-464 464 315-315 315 Fleshy 26 473-493 481 420-460 447.06 10 505-520 513 400-415 407.39 13 588-588 588 395-395 395 57 659-691 683 322.5-373 355.69 41 718-747 731 346-365 351.01 222 764-794 781 337-351 344.74 19 789-789 789 331-331 331 Fleshy 143 801-825 813 330-339 335.59 218 852-885 875 321-345 327.77 374 901-941 911 306-325 319.6 17 960-960 960 313.5-313.5 313.5 41 965-965 965 301-301 301 Fleshy HEIFERS - Medium and Large 1-2 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 9 382-382 382 385-385 385 6 620-620 620 330-330 330 20 849-849 849 320-320 320 12 970-970 970 300-300 300 STEERS - Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 173 1018-1023 1020 321-328 325.56 87 1022-1022 1022 305-305 305 Fleshy 57 1054-1054 1054 323-323 323 27 1061-1084 1077 288-300 291.5 Fleshy 48 1101-1101 1101 281-281 281 Fleshy 24 1249-1249 1249 258-258 258 Fleshy 5 1326-1326 1326 245-245 245 Fleshy STEERS - Medium 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 7 422-435 429 470-470 470 9 512-512 512 455-455 455 11 598-598 598 390-390 390 STEERS - Medium and Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 21 380-380 380 505-545 537.38 15 402-440 425 490-550 519.11 51 457-499 483 460-505 484.33 5 484-484 484 435-435 435 Fleshy 12 516-533 523 475-475 475 54 552-583 565 405-440 425.95 5 571-571 571 350-350 350 Fleshy 10 626-626 626 345-345 345 Fleshy 5 711-711 711 355-355 355 Fleshy 19 744-744 744 377.5-377.5 377.5 30 762-773 764 380-380 380 60 824-845 837 340-353 349.08 205 852-885 882 345-351 349.87 458 951-993 955 321-343 340.42 STEERS - Medium and Large 1-2 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 3 418-418 418 470-470 470 7 541-541 541 390-390 390 7 618-634 627 380-410 392.67 59 984-984 984 322-322 322
