Compared to last week fall steer and heifer calves less than 600 lbs sold 
steady to 10.00 lower. Steers over 600 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher. Heifers 
over 600 lbs sold steady to 5.00 higher. Demand was good throughout the week. 
Late spring cattle sales continue to bring large crowds to the auctions with 
active internet buying.  Most auction markets are into their summer sale 
schedule of every other week or as needed.  Feedlot sales continue to shoot 
upward as smaller than normal show list is available each week and with several 
packers in the state filling kill spots. New beef slaughter plant, Sustainable 
Beef has started to slaughter adding more shackle space to the Nebraska beef 
packing industry. Feedlots traded live sales from 240.00 to 245.00 and dressed 
sales from 380.00 to 385.00.

TREND: The trend for July corn is down.

NONCOMMERCIAL OUTLOOK: Noncommercial corn traders held a net-short futures position of 95,494 contracts as of June 10, an increase of 14,435 contracts as solid crop conditions and friendly weather kept sellers active during the CFTC reporting period.

COMMERCIAL OUTLOOK: Commercial corn traders held a net-long position of 114,551 contracts as of June 10, an increase of 9,826 contracts, week-over-week. The July 2025 contract is priced 16 cents higher than the September 2025 contract, a spread that strengthened significantly over the past week. DTN's National Cash Index indicated that corn basis firmed over the most recent week to 22 cents under the July board, an improvement of 1 cent on the...
