USDA Hub City Livestock Wtd Averages 10/01 15:55 AMS_2020 MARS Hub City Livestock Auction - Aberdeen, SD Hub City Livestock Auction-Aberdeen,SD Livestock Weighted Average Report for 10/01/2025 - Final Auction This Week Last Reported Last Year ------------------------------------------------------------ Total Receipts: ------------------------------------------------------------ FEEDER CATTLE 2519 2344 4673 Compared to last week: steers 950 to 999 lbs steady to 4.00 lower, 1000 to 1099 lbs 6.00 to 10.00 higher. Heifers not well compared. Good demand for yearlings this week with best demand for those light fleshed yearlings off grass. Quite a few strings and loads again this week including some of the same consignors as last week as they gather from different areas. A few loads and packages of feedlot cattle, flesh ranged from moderate to heavy with some tag at times. Many packages of tested open heifers coming off grass that buyers could put together and make loads. Quite a bit of variation of quality again this week, from plain to attractive. A single consignment of spring calves offered and met with moderate demand, most yards are not ready to take on calves yet. An active market seen for this offering. Producers are busy with harvest, both bean and silage harvest are going quickly. Many fields are wet from rains two weeks ago making it harder to get around and get loads out. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, October 8, the customer appreciation sale which will include both yearlings and spring calves. --------------------------------------------------------------- FEEDER CATTLE --------------------------------------------------------------- HEIFERS - Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 57 1005-1005 1005 292.5-292.5 292.5 Fleshy 56 1004-1047 1036 290-309 297.09 HEIFERS - Large 1-2 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 6 868-868 868 315-315 315 HEIFERS - Medium and Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 4 333-333 333 445-445 445 16 473-473 473 417.5-417.5 417.5 34 708-732 719 368-368 368 12 771-771 771 354-354 354 117 828-833 830 340-354 350.47 64 869-869 869 319-319 319 Fleshy 66 892-892 892 344-344 344 125 918-946 932 306-310.5 308.3 Fleshy 81 942-943 943 326-337.25 334.47 123 956-999 972 317-337.25 327.89 HEIFERS - Medium and Large 1-2 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 17 599-599 599 375-375 375 STEERS - Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 425 1006-1048 1029 325.5-346.25 342.03 216 1058-1066 1062 346.25-346.25 346.25 280 1100-1130 1117 309.5-319 316.47 STEERS - Medium and Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 7 351-351 351 530-530 530 12 537-537 537 436-436 436 51 759-759 759 391.5-391.5 391.5 61 849-849 849 374.5-374.5 374.5 74 854-865 863 364-374.5 372.67 131 912-945 925 353.5-355.75 355.31 240 991-997 994 346-347 346.51 STEERS - Medium and Large 1-2 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 12 561-561 561 391-391 391 25 672-672 672 388-388 388 11 847-847 847 340-340 340
