No feeder cattle last week, compared to two weeks ago:  best test on steers 900 
to 949 lbs mostly steady, 1000 to 1049 lbs steady to 4.00 lower.  Best test on 
heifers 700 to 749 lbs steady to 3.00 lower.  A big run of feeder cattle for 
today's annual BBQ sale.  Many strings, loads, and packages on offer, including 
fall calves and replacement heifers.  Very good demand for lighter cattle to 
background and heifers to breed, good to very good demand for finishing types.  
Flesh condition ranged from moderate to heavy.  An active market with a nice 
crowd of buyers in the seats competing for cattle.  Many opportunities to buy 
multiple loads of uniform cattle to fill pens which buyers took advantage of 
often.  A good chance of rain this weekend which is much needed.  No sale next 
week due to Memorial Day, watch local listings for the next feeder cattle sale.
