In this Equipment Roundup, DTN/Progressive Farmer looks at Case, New Holland and AGCO each winning AE50 awards for innovation, Greeneye closing a round of funding for its AI-enabled precision spraying technology, and HerdDogg adding StarDogg to its livestock tracking system.
CASE IH, NEW HOLLAND AG WIN DESIGN AWARDS
CNH Industrial N.V. brands Case IH and New Holland have won four 2022 ASABE AE50 awards. These awards, given by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, recognize the 50 best global products featuring advanced engineering for the food and agriculture industries. Here are the CNH winners:
-- Case IH Patriot 50 series sprayer for a range of connected solutions to ensure consistent and accurate applications.
-- Case IH WD5 series windrower's AFS Pro 700 display manages auto-guidance, controls key machine functions and monitors the machine's performance.
-- Case IH Fast Riser 6100 series three-section front-fold planter features an agronomic three-section front-fold toolbar for growers and contractors who frequently need to access public roads. The operator can convert the implement from a 13-meter planting width to 3.2-meter regulatory road transport width from the tractor cab in one minute.
-- New Holland Agriculture was recognized for its Horizon Ultra tractor cab for the T7 Heavy Duty tractor. Providing the operator with maximum protection and comfort, it is the quietest cab in the industry, registering no more than 66 decibels. Its Auto Comfort seat has a heating and ventilation system that cools and removes moisture. The cab also integrates New Holland's next-generation Precision Land Management Intelligence technologies.
... And, One More AE50 for AGCO
AP and Cumberland, the swine and poultry equipment brands of AGCO, respectively, have won an AE50 award for their Flex-Flo XD ULTRA Unloader feed system.
Introduced in June 2021, the Flex-Flo XD ULTRA Unloader offers a 50% larger boot to minimize feed bridging events, a fiberglass-filled wear plate for four times more wear resistance, efficient and cost-effective feed delivery and durable housing with less corrosion.

STARDOGG CALLS HOME
HerdDogg has announced the availability of StarDogg. StarDogg addresses the needs of ranchers operating on remote ranchland by providing a direct-to-satellite connection to its Animal Traceability Platform. Designed for ranchland where there is no cellular connection, StarDogg enables ranchers to keep a close eye on the location and well-being of their animals
Whenever an animal with a HerdDogg DoggTag Bluetooth sensor is within range of a StarDogg transceiver, it offloads tracking and behavioral data about the animal, and then transmits it via satellite to HerdDogg's cloud-based livestock data platform.
"StarDogg is perfect for ranchers with significant acreage and those who graze cattle on land leased from the Bureau of Land Management, where there is generally no terrestrial cellular coverage," Melissa Brandao, founder and chief revenue officer of HerdDogg, says in a company release.
